Visit (546 times)

If you enter Denmark via the Copenhagen Airport, you can conveniently board the train for Copenhagen Central Station with its many connections to the rest of Denmark, or take the Metro to downtown Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, and Vanlřse. The train station at the airport is situated right below the terminal building where your luggage is returned to you. The Metro stop is situated in a roofed, direct extension of Terminal 3.

From the airport, you can catch both regional and intercity trains with further connections to the rest of Denmark to the Copenhagen central station, to the island of Bornholm via Ystad in Sweden, to Malmř/Helsingborg/Kristianstad in Sweden, and to Roskilde and in the opposite direction.

The metro runs every 4th minute in the daytime, and every 15th minute during night hours. Read more about the Metro

Whether you go by train or metro,  the journey to the city takes just 14 minutes!

Train and Metro tickets can be purchased at the Airport DSB Travel Centre situated right next to the exit. If you go by train, a 3 zone ticket is required (DKK 28,50) to get from the airport to the central station, and by Metro, a 2 zone ticket at DKK 18 or a 3 zone ticket at DKK 28.50 is required, depending on where you intend to get off.

Train schedules etc. can be seen from the home page of the Danish State Railways In addition to the regular train services from the Copenhagen Airport to the Copenhagen central railway station, you can of course take a taxi as well. The price may vary depending on the route taken by the taxi company, but in average the cost to the centre of Copenhagen will amount to DKK 190 during the daytime, DKK 200 during the evening, and DKK 250 in the night and in week-ends.
