The Association of Authorized Guides (Turistfĝrerforeningen ) is a semi-official entity, which offers guides in 24 languages to take you through the city. Founded in 1933, it is the oldest guide association in the world and all guides have completed a three year government approved university course. History Tours gives special focus on history and the historical sights throughout the city by guides with at least a masters degree in history. Another option is to go on one of the guided Canal tours (see details in the Get around section), or for the ecologically aware, talk to one of the many bike taxis that line up in the inner city during the summer. The bikers are often very knowledgeable about the sights and can give you a good alternative tour of the city. You can negotiate the price for longer trips. A good option of combining fitness and sightseeing is by going for a run with Running Tours- the solution if you are in hurry. And if you want to try something a bit differient, take the Segway Tours CPH guided tour of Copenhagen with Seamus, an Irish ex-pat living in Denmark.
